So I'm officially back in San Marcos, ready to begin another semester of what is proving to be some pretty great experiences at Texas State. And a lot of things have changed. First off, I have my own dorm room. Granted, it's a single room, and tiny. But as I am a tiny person, I feel like it may be proportionate to my needs. The lack of a roommate is already an effect on me, seeing as I'm focused solely on myself when I'm in the room.
I have a lot of goals for myself this semester, the greatest being the goal to raise my grades and get 3 As or more this go 'round. I feel like it's a goal I can meet, and hopefully with this new desk space, it can be a legitimate reality.
Another new thing is my music collection. Of course, I'm always adding to it. I recently acquired the new OneRepublic album called Waking Up. And a wake up it was! I have to say, I've never had such a powerful and moving experience listening to an album. It was absolutely glorious! The entire album made me feel like life was once again worth while, and why be sad when there is so much pure happiness in the world? It was like a message from heaven, and it's become my new pick-me-up music, seeing as there are songs on it that I can't help but smile and sing along with when I hear them. I feel like getting this album may be a sign of good things to come. And also the fact that I have pre-ordered the new album of The Script, who are one of my favorite new bands. I can't wait to hear what this album has in store.
It's a new year, new expectations, new everything! Even Slurpee Day schedule! And hopefully, new, in this case, will definitely be better.
I'm a college student, with what some have considered an odd thought process and wicked randomness. Since I'm usually at "The Bat Cave", my days tend to be pretty interesting. I write this blog for my sanity of mind...isn't that the best reason to do something, after all? Though I must warn that this blog has turned more into me venting my feelings about one person, such as a diary, if you will. You're welcome to read it, though I wouldn't expect much.
